Fagkin - She Made Me Cross

Digitally created from 250,000 crosses using 50 colours. The cross stitch pattern was inspired by a project I made at junior school aged 11 (see Big Tit). Mum was so proud of what I had made that she framed it for the sideboard. I decided to revisit cross stitching 40 years later with the skills I acquired as a graphic designer.
Over the years Fagkin has evolved and at one point was conceived as multi-coloured crosses stuck to a gallery wall at an epic scale. Maybe one day....
We sat, watched and waited as Dad slowly passed away from cancer.
Mum continued to consume the very thing that killed him, hiding her Silk Cut away from our disapproving eyes like a squirrel hiding its nuts.
She made me cross.
